As part of Courtisane, an annual five-day film festival at various locations in Ghent, Flanders Arts Institute is organising a public talk on 3 April.

How do we make, play and experience classical music today? And what will the future bring? That is what Klarafestival, Flanders Arts Institute, Bozar, DE SINGEL, Concertgebouw Brugge and Music centre De Bijloke want to reflect on together with leading voices from the music sector.

Who is our audience? Who are we reaching today? And who do we not? What place and role does our audience have within our organisation? And how do we involve artists to engage in our audience development?

As usual, MATRIX is organising the contemporary classical music sector meeting together with Flanders Arts Institute. On 15 March, we will meet at Night Air in Kortrijk. The focus this year? Artist-run presentation projects.

The Landscape Sketch of the Arts is a comprehensive analysis of Flanders' professional arts landscape that Flanders Arts Institute puts together at the start of each new political term. To make sure nothing is overlooked, we organise several sessions throughout 2024 to gather input from the sector, each time focusing on a different part of the arts field.
