Visitors programme dance: On movement and matter 2026
On 3 and 4 December 2026, KAAP and Flanders Arts Institute are organising the second edition of On Movement and Matter, the international dance platform during December Dance.
For two days, the KAAP studios will spotlight contemporary dance from Belgium. On Movement and Matter brings together artists, international professionals and other practitioners from the dance field for a programme of pitches, showcases, workshops, talks and informal encounters.
With this programme, we invite (inter)national professionals to discover new projects and artists from Belgium, and to come together to reflect on the creative challenges and developments within the dance field.
For who?
Through this programme, we invite (inter)national professionals (programmers, producers, arts practitioners, etc.) to discover new projects and creators from Belgium.
Invited artists
During the visitors’ programme, the invited artists will present their new projects through showcases and pitches. In addition to the presentations, there will be opportunities for joint and informal meetings.

Professional rate
On 2 December, December Dance opens with the premiere of Nimble, the new and largest production to date by Alexander Vantournhout/Not Standing.
Participants can register as professionals on the Dans in Brugge website and order their tickets at a 50% discount.
The visitors programme by Flanders Arts Institute is free of charge.
