Public conversation during Contour Biennale

On 22 October, Flanders Arts Institute, Contour and argos are organising a public discussion as part of the Contour Biennale in Mechelen. During this discussion, we will be examining the financial vulnerability of the moving image sector and the need for alternative forms of funding.

Shifting Landscapes in Moving Image Funding

How are projects funded today, and what role can biennials, museums and art centres play in this? Where can we find alternative forms of funding, and how can we achieve an economically sustainable system? And what about the ethical issues, particularly within challenging political and economic contexts?
