Art during crisis: session on Iran
Through digital sessions, Art during crisis explores the role of art in times of crisis, such as (international) resistance, solidarity and hospitality.
On 1 October our conversation focuses on Iran.
About Iran
Iran’s modern history has been heavily shaped by geopolitics, oppression and wars. For this edition of Art During Crisis, we are inviting two Iranian artists who were active in Iran until recently. We will be discussing the creation of art under authoritarian regimes and the impact of (forced) migration.
For security reasons, we are not sharing the artists’ biographies for this edition.
Practical
Thursday 1 October from 1pm until 2pm, online via Zoom.
The conversations are held in English.
