Conference Art during crisis: From reflection to action
As an arts sector, we share the responsibility to provide support in response to the humanitarian and ecological crises facing our society today. Together with Globe Aroma and international experts, we bring together the available knowledge and offer concrete tools and good practices to implement solidarity and hospitality within your organisation.
There is a need for change in the sector. How can we show international solidarity, and what does that mean in concrete terms? How do we translate this into ethical values, and how do we put this into practice?
Art during crisis
Art and the world are inextricably linked. During monthly digital discussions, Art during crisis explores the role of art in times of crisis, such as war, oppression, economic inequality and climate change.
This conference is the first physical meeting on the theme.

Globe Aroma works with artists who have experienced both short and long term forced displacement. Fameus works with a range of artists including newcomers affected by diverse forms of displacement. In this session they form an alliance and open up the conversation about the needs and support requests of the artists they encounter and work with.
Globe Aroma and Fameus each work towards developing practices of research and response to these accumulated questions, in a format tailored to their respective target groups. We look forward to opening up this conversation with others in the arts and cultural field who relate to this topic. Fostering the exchange of perspectives and collective discussions.
