Art & Cultural Centre: meeting moment for visual arts

Looking for ideas and inspiration for your exhibition work? Want to learn more about how to send an accessible and thought-provoking open call out into the world?

During Art & Cultural Centre, you can find inspiration and engage in conversation with colleagues from other culture houses.

Art & Cultural Centre #5

On 8 May, Flanders Arts Institute, Kunstwerkt, BREEDBEELD and cult! welcome you to CC Strombeek. This time, the programme revolves around the theme of open calls. We make time to discuss issues such as fair practices and whether or not to work with a jury.

We start with an introduction and tour of the exhibitions at CC Stroombeek by Charlotte Crevits. We invite Jan Leconte (CC De Ververij) to talk about his experiences with open calls. Tamara Beheydt (CC Zwaneberg) then explains the open call “Trajectory”. This will be followed by a moment for open discussion and exchange of ideas.

This event is a meeting and exchange moment for culture houses that want to gain more insight into organising an open call, specifically around contemporary visual arts. At the same time, you can broaden and strengthen your network.
