Visitors programme het TheaterFestival
From 3 to 5 September, het TheaterFestival and Flanders Arts Institute invite you to a new visitors programme bringing together local and international performing arts professionals.
Het TheaterFestival occupies a unique place in the Flemish and Brussels performing arts landscape. Each year, it offers a snapshot of productions and artistic practices that shaped the past season, making it an ideal point of departure for conversations that connect the local with the international.
With this programme, we explore internationalisation starting from the local – rooted in artistic practices, places and relationships, yet always locally unbound, open to translocal connections and mutual learning across different contexts. By bringing together artists, programmers, producers and cultural workers from Belgium and abroad, the programme creates space to exchange perspectives, build lasting relationships and imagine new forms of collaboration.
Over two and a half days, participants will experience the festival alongside the visitors programme. On the first day, we will host a panel discussion on sustainable co-production. On the second day, we will explore a number of arts organisations across Brussels. On Saturday, Flanders Arts Institute and het TheaterFestival will conclude the programme with a gathering of local and international presenters, programmers and festival makers.
