Sector meeting performing arts in the context of operating subsidies (2028-2032)
Which platforms and organisations support creators within the performing arts? What forms of support and development are lacking? How can we work together to ensure a sustainable field in which players strengthen and complement each other?
In the run-up to the upcoming deadline for operating subsidies (2028-2032), Flanders Arts Institute and Hiros are organising a sector meeting for exchange and networking within the performing arts sector.
Together, we will discuss the roles we can take on, how artists and art workers can organise and structure themselves, and how we can arrive at a shared vision that strengthens the field and creates space for development.
Programme
In the morning, various development, production and presentation structures will discuss their vision for the field, the upcoming round of operating subsidies, and the opportunities they see for new collaborations and structures.
In the afternoon, we will focus on networking and exchange by and for creators and artists who are considering applying for an operating grant. We will create space for questions, knowledge sharing and possible matches between (new) artistic partners.
When and where
23 January from 10am in Muntpunt (Brussels). The exact programme will follow in January.
