Writing table Brussels #1

Would you like to submit an application for a grant or project subsidy under the Arts Decree on 15 March 2026? Do you already have a detailed plan but are having trouble writing your application, or do you need someone to bounce ideas off? Would you like to exchange ideas with fellow artists or experts? Or do you have questions about the KIOSK format?

Then come and work on your application during our writing tables in various Flemish cities!

What?

We bring together a number of artists and art workers with the same goal and deadline to submit a grant or project subsidy application under the Arts Decree. We also invite a few 'writing and dossier experts' who are happy to help you find answers or think about how to put your plans into words.

How the writing tables work

  • Before the session, you will receive an email with an overview of the experts present and their areas of expertise. You can register for two meetings with an expert of your choice. Between meetings with the experts, you can work on your dossier. We also invite you to engage in conversation with each other.
  • It is important that you already have a concrete and detailed plan and have approached the necessary partners for your grant or project. For this edition, we will only focus on dossiers that will be submitted by the deadline of 15 March 2026.
  • The writing tables are intended to support you in writing or proofreading your application, not to finalise your grant or project for later submission rounds.
  • We provide a table, chair, Wi-Fi, coffee and tea. You provide a clearly detailed plan and a laptop.

When and where

Wednesday 4 February, from 1.30pm to 5.30 pm at Huis van het Nederlands in Brussels.

Would you prefer to attend the writing workshops at a different location? Register here for one of the other sessions in Brussels (18 February), Antwerp or Ghent.

Register now

Register using the button at the top right.

  • In order to support as many participants as possible, you can only register for one writing table.
  • Participation is free and places are limited! We therefore ask you to cancel in good time if you are unexpectedly unable to attend.
